Tree Felling & Pruning

We specialise in the felling of large and dangerous trees. We are experienced in undertaking both crane assisted removals and manual removals where trees have to be dismantled carefully and all material lowered using ropes.

Correct pruning is key to the health and longevity of your trees. We offer a range of pruning services including:

  • Crown thinning

  • Crown lifting

  • Crown reduction

  • Dead wooding or crown cleaning

We often utilise a combination of these techniques to achieve the desired outcome for our clients

Stump Grinding & Excavation

Stump grinding is a great alternative to mechanical or manual excavation especially in areas where one wants to minimise disturbance to the surrounding area.

Where the area allows we can arrange for the mechanical or manual excavation of stumps and handle the disposal of the resultant solid waste.

Chipping & Chipper Hire

We have 2 wood chippers available for hire, a 225mm capacity Bandit model 90 & a Tomcat 375mm capacity model 4375. Our wood chippers are well maintained which gives our clients the best possible productivity.

Alternatively we can assist clients by providing a full chipping service whereby we come to site with a suitable machine and provide the labour to feed material through the machine. We also have a variety of trucks available to either remove chipped material from site or stockpile it.

Rates for chipper hire as follows:

  • Model 90 Bandit (225mm capacity) - R5000.00/day ex VAT

  • Model 4375 Tomcat (375mm capacity) - R7500.00/day ex VAT

All rates include Operator, diesel & 1 set sharp blades per day. Please contact us regarding transportation and other T’s & C’s.

Wood Chip Sales

Clean grade wood chip suitable for pathways, covering large areas or as a mulch. Clean chip available for R575/cube including VAT, excluding delivery. Chip is sold loose and dropped next to the truck. For smaller quantities, you can find our chip sold at various nurseries.

Please Note:

  • Minimum order quantity of 3 cubes

  • We do not sell bark chip, please inquire at your local nursery.

  • Our delivery area is limited to the Southern Suburbs and CBD

  • Our yard arrangements do not allow for collections under any circumstances.

Other Services:

  • Site Clearing - We can assist you with the clearing of sites in preparation for development work

  • Hedge trimming & shaping - We trim hedges as well as cut back and shape shrubs

  • Log Splitter Hire - We have a hydraulic wood splitting machine available for hire. This machine easily splits even the toughest pieces of wood into firewood sized pieces.

  • Transportation of timber - Our 4x4 trucks are capable of transporting timber up to 4.2m in length
